Asakusa Yabusame (Horseback archery)

Yazoo or archer on the crotch on the horse running. It was a tradition in the Edo period (1603-1868), held during the New Year at the Asakusa shrine. But later this tradition was revived. And it has become a tradition that has attracted much attention from tourists.

Yubisama will be held on the third Saturday of April in the afternoon at Sumida Park. Upon arriving, they will meet archery players who wear archery. The archers were riding while riding.
If you want to visit this tradition closely, you will need to book a seat in front of 2,000 yen per seat. Advance booking is available at Taito Ward Office and Asakusa Culture Tourist Information Center from mid March. Or can be ordered by email as well.

In the morning, Kusajishi archery is also held at Sanyabori Square of Sumi สวนa Park. A normal archer does not ride a horse. If afternoon is busy I come in the morning. Travel: Take the Tokyo Metro Ginza Line or Toei Subway Asakusa Line or Tobu Skytree Line to Asakusa Station and continue for 8 minutes.
