Kitaguchi Hongu Fuji Sengen-jinja Shrine is an ancient shrine which gained popularity during the Edo Period. The shrine also known as the “North Entrance Fuji Sengen Shrine” as its main shrine is located on the northern side of the mountain. It is Shinto shrine dedicated to the deity that resides in Mt.Fuji. It is said that the famous warlord Takeda Shingen visited this shrine a lot, further adding to its popularity.
