Takiya Gyo is a tradition of catching fish, crabs and other rare fishes of Lake Hamanaki. Hamanaki Shizuoka Prefecture inherited more than 100 years, unique identity. It is held every year from May to September. To the south of the lake, Hamanko Lake.
At sunset, the villagers will take off immediately. In the darkness There are lights to see the fish that are sleeping or swimming clearly and use a sharp harpoon to fish them.

Of course, fish or fish can be taken back to eat at home. Or go straight to the raft 「Takiya-Tei」 at Lake Hamanako.
