getting There

From Tokyo

From Tokyo, take the JR Hokuriku Shinkansen train to Kurobe Unazuki Onsen (2.5 hours, 11,500 yen, 1 round per hour, use JR Pass ticket)

From Shin-Kurobe Station (located near the Shinkansen Station), take the Toyama Chiho Railway trains to Unazuki Onsen Station (25 minutes and 630 yen, 1-2 rounds per hour. JR Pass can not be used.)

The Kurobe Valley Railway Station is just off Unazuki Station, a short walk from Unazuki Onsen Station.

 

From Kyoto / Osaka

From Kyoto / Osaka, take the JR Thunderbird express train to Kanazawa and change to JR Hokuriku Shinkansen to Kurobe Unazuki Onsen Station. It takes 3 hours to travel. The cost is 11,000 yen. You can use the JR Pass.
